Baby Update

Kristen had a doctor's appointment today, and everything is really good! She is right on track as far as her measurement and we found out that the baby is head down. Saturday will be 34 weeks, and we are getting more and more excited as the days go by! While we were at the doctor we also did a 3D Ultrasound, which is awesome! Who do you think the little guy looks like?

Baby Shower

Kristen and I would like to extend a big THANK YOU for the generous showing of love for our baby! We celebrated the baby shower this weekend and received many wonderful gifts! We might "almost" be ready for his arrival. We also need to thank Grandma Staley for coordinating the long distance baby shower. We appreciate all her efforts in making this such a special day for us! Again, we really really appreciate everyone's generosity and we cannot wait to share all of the upcoming milestones. THANK YOU!

PS ... Mason and Lilly were exhausted from all the partying!

Week 31

Kristen had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Everything is still great. The baby is measuring at 34 weeks at 31 weeks. The doctor said that the baby seems like he is a long baby. We have another appointment on Dec. 23rd and we are getting a 3D ultrasound. Hopefully he will cooperate and we can get a good picture of the little guy. In other news, I'm still working on getting Kristen to root for Notre Dame ... I think its starting to work :)

Baby Belly - Week 30

Here is our little man at Week 30. Kristen is still doing really well. We are taking an Infant Care class on Wednesday and then we have a doctor's appointment next Wednesday (Dec. 9th). All is well here in sunny Florida!

Key West

Kristen and I took a trip to Key West for 4 days this past week. We had a great time! We had the chance to take in all the scenery ... the drive was extremely long but very scenic ... we took a tour of Ernest Hemingway's home (and saw all of his 6 toed cats) ... saw the US Hwy 1 Mile Marker 0 ... Mallory Square ... and the Southernmost part of the United States. All in all we had a really good time. A new baby belly picture will be up on Sunday.

Week 28

7 Months have flown by! Kristen had a doctor's appointment last week on Veteran's Day and everything is going just fine. Her belly was measured at 30cm, so he is still measuring a little big. She had her glucose test done and had to drink that "icky" orange stuff! 6 gallons of it!

We are taking an infant care class and breastfeeding class in the next couple weeks. Should be very informative!

Week 27

Kristen and I traveled to Ft. Myers Beach to visit Grandma and Grandpa Ruhland and the Hunt's. We had a really good time! Kristen is doing great and he has been moving around like a maniac lately ... except when certain people try to feel him kick! Its probably a sign of things to come!

Week 26 - Baby Belly

Everything is going well, she is feeling really good! We carved some pumpkins for Halloween ... I think my design was a bit over the top, Kristen went the more traditional route! I don't remember carving pumpkins to be so tough!

Week 25 - Baby Belly

As a few of you have requested, here is the photo with me and the mock baby belly in Lamaze Class. Yep, its hilarious!

Kristen is doing well. The baby is really moving around lately. Other than that everything is really good.

Week 24 - Baby belly

Kristen went to the doctor on October 15th and she said all is well. The baby is already measuring big, and Kristen says, "she will be giving birth to a bowling ball." We just finished Lamaze class and learned a lot. We plan on taking a few more classes before the little guy gets here.

We took a picture of the "crew" today sitting waiting on their treats. They are excited for the new addition to our family too!
